ARCHIVE: Sustainable development indicators in your pocket

The new Measuring progress: sustainable development indicators 2010 replaces Sustainable development indicators in your pocket (SDIYP) which has been produced annually as a printed publication since 2004.

SDIYP has been extremely successful, with a printed circulation of 40,000 to 60,000 copies per year. Meanwhile take-up of the downloadable version has increased substantially and the 2009 edition was downloaded over 300,000 times. The new Measuring progress publication is only available to download.

The pocket-sized SDIYP has been been highly influential in the way indicators are presented here in the UK and it has been emulated extensively internationally. It has proved particularly popular with schools and colleges, but is also taken up by a wide range of stakeholders, including local authorities, non-governmental organisations and members of the public.

As a celebration of its success, the covers of four of the past editions are presented here.
