ARCHIVE: ERDP Schemes
A number of schemes were developed for the wider countryside under ERDP, aiming, through the payment of grants, to improve the natural beauty and diversity of the countryside, enhance, restore and re-create targeted landscapes, their wildlife habitats and historical features, and to improve opportunities for public access.
Some of these schemes have rolled forward into the RDPE and are currently open to new applicants, these include:
- Environmental Stewardship [Natural England]
- Hill Farm Allowance
- English Woodland Grant Scheme [Forestry Commission]
- Energy Crops Scheme [Natural England] (Please note that the ERDP scheme closed to new applicants, a new EC scheme has opened for applications under RDPE)
The following schemes are closed to new applicants though existing agreements will continue until their expiry date or in some cases may be converted into new schemes. Information is provided for existing scheme holders and reference purposes only.
