ARCHIVE: England Implementation Group - Animal Welfare Delivery Strategy (AWDS) Subgroup
The Animal Health and Welfare Strategy (AHWS) for Great Britain sets out in broad terms the Government’s strategy for improving animal health and welfare. Defra published the AWDS in October 2007 which sets out goals and objectives for the delivery of the welfare aspects of the AHWS.
The EIG has set up the AWDS Subgroup to work with Defra, in line with the principles of the Strategy, to implement and monitor progress against the AWDS Action Plan.
