ARCHIVE: Land use planning: Successful reclamation of mineral and waste sites
In 1999 the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) adopted a more strategic role in relation to mineral and waste land use planning.
The guidance is to promote better understanding of the agricultural issues that affect the restoration of mineral and waste sites where the long-term agricultural potential of the land is to be preserved.
This guidance is now available on the National Archives.
