ARCHIVE: Marketing fertilisers: EC regulation 2003/2003

In order to sell EC designated fertiliser, the fertiliser must be of a type listed in Annex 1 and comply with the conditions of EC Regulation 2003/2003

To add a new fertiliser to Annex I, a dossier must be prepared in collaboration with a Member State and be presented to the EC Working Group on Fertilisers for approval.

It is the duty of every importer and manufacturer to ensure their products comply with EC Regulation 2003/2003 for EC designated fertilisers and with the UK Fertiliser Regulations 1991 for non EC designated fertilisers. If they fail to do so, they will be subject to UK enforcement processes and penalties.
