On 6 October 2008 Hilary Benn announced that he was establishing a Council of Food Policy Advisors to provide advice on a wide range of food policy issues. This reflects the growing importance of food policy, and Defra’s new role in co-ordinating this across Government.

14 September 2009 - The Council of Food Policy Advisors (CFPA) has today published its first report for Environment Secretary, Hilary Benn.
