Survey data are published in mainly tabular or graphical form, usually showing comparisons between groups of businesses, for example between regions or between types of farm. The results attracting most attention are on farm incomes, typically by region or farm type, and on productivity, particularly by farm size.

Results of the Farm Business Survey are also published in statistical notices, e.g. ‘Farm business income by farm type’, ‘Farm diversification’. These statistical notices, amongst others, are listed under the ‘Published data’ menu to the left.

Some of the data from the Farm Business Survey is used in the compilation of the aggregate agricultural account (which includes the Total Income From Farming measure). Latest results for TIFF can be found on the UK agricultural accounts webpage.
