ARCHIVE: UK Agricultural Accounts

Agricultural accounts are a tool for analysing the economic situation of agriculture. The accounts are used to support policy making in the UK and EU. They also form part of the UK National Account and the Regional Accounts produced by the Office for National Statistics that measure performance across all sectors.
The agricultural account includes the aggregate income of the agriculture sector, known as Total Income from Farming (TIFF). This measure shows the performance of the whole agricultural industry.
Other income measures designed to compare performance across different farming types, including Farm Business Income, are also available.
