ARCHIVE: Economic analysis - food and farming
Defra places economic analysis and advice at the heart of policy-making. Our aims are to ensure that policy decisions are informed by high quality and robust evidence.
Economic evaluations are assessments of the Department's policies, usually undertaken after the policy has been in operation for sufficient time to have had some impact or when it has terminated. Economic reports examine specific issues relevant to agriculture and the wider food chain.
