ARCHIVE: Impact assessments
Impact Assessments (IAs) are intended as a key tool to ensure regulation is proportionate to the issue it is designed to tackle. IAs now have a more prominent role in policy-making, are more transparent and build on the success of Regulatory Impact Assessments (RIAs).
All final impact assessments produced by Defra are publically available on our website and can be viewed via the links on the left-hand side of the screen or below. All final impacts assessments produced across Government can be found on the Impact Assessment Library hosted by the Better Regulation Executive: http://www.ialibrary.berr.gov.uk/
