ARCHIVE: Secretary of State Report on disability equality

This report is the first of its kind. It identifies progress made by Defra, and the public bodies that deliver its policies, towards disability equality. It also reveals where improvements can still be made and how Defra will work together with the relevant bodies to bring about further improvements.

The report focuses on the issues that disabled people have highlighted as being of greatest importance to them. These include:

  • Access to the Natural Environment
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Waste
  • Emergency response (flooding and water supply)
  • Rural Communities
